Doug McMurrin

As the Music Director at Sacred Heart, I develop the music program to inspire all parish and local community members to prioritize in their lives the work of, “becoming a living example of God’s love to others,” as per the newly defined mission statement in the pastoral plan.

Why get involved?  First and foremost, it’s an opportunity to use your God-given talents in His service. The music program also assists in creating a culture of fruitful cooperation which respects and fosters the different musical talents within Sacred Heart Parish.

Time Commitment: The music program includes weekly commitment to rehearsals and participation in the choirs at weekly masses, and also at special functions.

Everyone has the opportunity to participate in the three annual auditions each year (August, November, February) that are scheduled to include those interested.

The kind of person who gets involved: The music program includes people who are interested in helping to create an alive, attractive, exciting, and spiritually nourishing culture for all.

Get Involved:

If you wish to become involved in the music program, I recommend you attend the 11AM Mass. Also, everyone has the opportunity to participate in the three annual auditions each year (August, November, February) that are scheduled to include those interested.
