The Church rejoices that you have decided to give yourselves to each other in a loving, life-long commitment and to enrich the Church and the world through your marriage and family. As you and your fiancé prepare for marriage, Sacred Heart Parish and the Diocese of Phoenix are committed to helping you as a couple build a “firm foundation” for your future marriage. We hope that the Diocesan marriage preparation program will be an opportunity for God to renew and grow your relationship.
In order to build a firm foundation for your relationship, marriage preparation in the Diocese of Phoenix begins at least nine months prior to your wedding. You begin the process by talking with the pastor here at Sacred Heart who will help guide you through the process.

You will need a recent copy of your Baptism, First Communion and Confirmation certificates, where applicable. Please contact the parishes where you received these sacraments and request a recent copy. You original Baptism certificate cannot be used.

Natural Family Planning (NFP)
NFP is about effective and healthy family planning that respects Catholic teaching. Classes are open to: married couples and engaged couples in Marriage Prep.
