PASTOR’S REPORT: October 7, 2019

RECAP OF OUR ACTIVITIES IN SEPTEMBER:

Reception of Communion – homily – went on well

Light of the world retreat: good participation and good spirit.

Directors’ Meeting: Amazing parish video on the role of parish leaders in our meetings periodically.

Heritage week: Regular committee meetings have been happening for 2 months.

Silence in the Church before the mass– music helps.

All the councils except the discipleship committee meeting took place as planned

New ministries added: women bible study, planning to reach out to the addicts and veterans

Ministry directory – hand out will be available for those who need.

Lectors’ Training – went on well and the certificate of completion will be handed over soon.

Hope fest: Expectation from all councils in the future to participate

Activities for the coming days;

Diocesan Capital Campaign – kick off may be delayed till the end of November 2019

Diocesan Jubilee: the holy mass will be on December 2

  • Morning glory books distribution and homily on Consecration– Oct 12 -13
  • Consecration prayer after homilies from 15 – 24, October
  • Homily on Mission: October 19 -20

Retreat for the Liturgical Ministers – 12 October from 10.00 to 12.00

First Anniversary – Rededication mass of our Church 0n November 4, 2019

Food for the poor – homily by Fr. Gary Norman on October 26-27
